Responsibilities:
- Leading, motivating, supporting and developing a team of Logistics Planners
- Setting up and tracking KPI´s within the team
- Bringing the best quality of service to a client
- Pro-active and positive communication with the client (client needs assessment, optimal solution design)
- Solving problems (delivery, shipments)
- Supervision of the transport services in the field of road transport in Europe
- Ensuring profitability and efficiency of the operations
- Communication with carriers, suppliers, customers and other internal/ external stakeholders
- Participating in the process of continuous improvement
Proficiency requirements:
- Secondary school education
- Previous work experience (5+) in Logistics/Transportation/Industrial/(or similar) within International business environment
- (3+) years on Team Leader (or higher) position
- Good knowledge of MS office (Outlook, Excel)
- Regular use of TMS systems for Transportation planning (or ERP system)
- Proven work achievements and team leadership
Personal characteristics:
- Fluent English is required, second West European language is an advantage (French, Spanish, or Italian)
- Passion for detail, keeping deadlines and work ethic
- Pleasant, yet firm personality
- Keen to assist and improve
- Solution, rather than obstacle driven
- Pro-active communicator and team player
- Innovative, out-of-the-box thinker
- Able to set example
